I read more than the required five posts because they were all so different and interesting to me. The one similarity was they all included information that I needed to read for my own class blogging. Such creative ideas from teachers. I look forward to getting started!

Web2.0 has opened up a new way of creating a community of learners for me.  I feel the exposure to this new variety of technology as a teacher helps me  to really catch up to the excitement that third graders already have in technology.  I am adding this dimension to my teaching and it is one of exploration!  Communicating with other teachers will enhance my learning Web2 and therefor enhance the learning of the student that I teach. I am truly looking forward to all that I can learn.  I must admit that I am one of those learners that must see the big picture before I can appreciate each small step.

I feel the easiest habit of effective lifelong learners will be teaching and mentoring others. Once I put all of this time and effort in learning something that is not that easy for me,  I should certainly have the patience to teach others.  The most challenging habit for me will possibly be having the confidence in myself as a competent, effective learner.  I have been working on the simple and easy ways to find lessons for teaching  my classes (shame on me).  The most important habit for me will be creating my own learning toolbox.  I want to be able to use this Web 2 as more effective tools for teaching third grade.
